A functioning economy needs a stable banking system. Banking supervision therefore has the task of monitoring the business activities of financial companies and maintaining investor confidence.
The employees of the audit units contribute to this by carrying out on-site audits at financial companies. Their business trips take them to destinations in Germany and abroad. Based on supervisory regulations, the auditors assess the functioning and appropriateness of ICT risk management and the ICT processes of financial companies and their ICT third-party service providers.
