Jobbeschreibung

Twinlake Advisory is a specialized consultancy for IT-driven M&A and transformation projects. We support large corporations, mid-sized companies, and private equity investors in carve-outs, post-merger integrations, and strategic realignments. In these critical phases, IT becomes a key success factor—and this is exactly where we come in: we combine in-depth analysis with pragmatic execution.

At Twinlake, we work as equals in an open, team-oriented environment characterized by strong cohesion, honest feedback, and a pronounced learning culture—pragmatic, supportive, and driven by a shared commitment to success.

Your role

As an IT Architect, you will design robust target and transition architectures for complex IT M&A and transformation projects—from analyzing intricate IT landscapes to providing technical decision frameworks and guiding implementation-focused architecture work at the client.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

  • Analyzing and assessing existing IT landscapes, application portfolios, infrastructure setups, integrations, and operating models in the context of IT due diligence, carve-outs, post-merger integrations, and transformation programs
  • Developing target architectures, architectural principles, roadmaps, and technical blueprints that align business goals, IT strategy, security, scalability, and feasibility
  • Designing and managing architecture workstreams (e.g., cloud, workplace, network, identity management, integration, security, data flows, application modernization, platform strategies)
  • Advising clients, project teams, and decision-makers on technology choices, architectural options, make-or-buy decisions, risks, dependencies, and investment needs

A core aspect of your role is translating complex technical concepts into clear, decision-ready outputs. You will operate at the intersection of business, IT, management, and delivery teams, including:

  • Establishing and managing architecture governance, boards, decision frameworks, technical guidelines, and quality gates
  • Preparing and facilitating architecture workshops, management updates, decision forums, and technical deep dives
  • Documenting and visualizing current, target, and transition architectures, and deriving concrete actions, risks, dependencies, and next steps
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders across management, IT, business units, security, infrastructure, application owners, and external partners

You will actively contribute your technical expertise to projects, provide guidance on complex IT challenges, support quality assurance of architectural decisions, and further develop our architecture approaches, playbooks, and service offerings.

What to Expect
  • Projects at the intersection of technology, strategy, and corporate development
  • Direct impact on IT M&A transactions, carve-outs, integrations, and business-critical transformation decisions
  • Ownership of target architectures, architectural roadmaps, and technical decision frameworks
  • Close collaboration within an experienced, dynamic, and high-performing team with significant creative freedom
  • Active involvement in shaping our architecture methods, playbooks, service modules, and technical standards
  • Flexible working model with home office options combined with project-based on-site client work
  • Regular team events, including monthly gatherings with team-building activities and workshops
Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for colleagues in Munich who can understand complex IT landscapes, develop target architectures, and communicate architectural decisions in a clear, pragmatic, and implementation-oriented manner.

Typical qualifications include:

A degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field—or a vocational qualification (e.g., IT specialist) with additional relevant certifications (e.g., project management)

Several years of hands-on experience in IT architecture, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, IT consulting, IT infrastructure, cloud environments, application landscapes, or complex transformation projects

Proven experience in analyzing, structuring, and evolving IT landscapes, ideally in IT due diligence, carve-outs, post-merger integrations, or large transformation programs

Strong technical understanding across multiple architecture domains (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, network, IAM, security, integration, data, applications, workplace, IT operating models)

Ability to translate complex technical topics into management-ready insights, recommendations, target states, roadmaps, and execution plans

A pragmatic architectural mindset, strong initiative, and a solution-oriented approach—always balancing business value, feasibility, and risk

Experience with frameworks and tools such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, LeanIX, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Azure Architecture Center, AWS Well-Architected, or similar is a plus, but not required

If you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply — motivation, curiosity, and relevant skills matter.

Why Twinlake?

At Twinlake, you won’t work on anonymous large-scale projects. Instead, you’ll be part of small teams tackling business-critical topics for our clients—close to decision-making processes and with a direct impact on project success.

This means for you:

  • Visible impact instead of a supporting role
  • Early ownership and a steep learning curve
  • Direct insight into strategic decision-making and close collaboration with top management
  • Pragmatic project work with a focus on implementable results rather than purely conceptual work
  • Structured development through on-the-job training and individualized development plans
  • Clear career paths with opportunities to specialize in different areas of expertise
  • High degree of autonomy, with the chance to contribute your own ideas and actively shape Twinlake’s development
  • Close collaboration within an experienced and motivated team, including mentoring

If you are looking for challenging projects, want to take on responsibility, and aim to grow quickly in a performance-driven yet supportive environment, Twinlake is the right place for you. We look forward to your application.
