Job summary

Webasto SE in Stockdorf near Munich is seeking an IT Application Consultant for PLM and SAP Engineering Systems. You will own global SAP PLM and related systems, manage lifecycle tasks and drive improvements.

You will collaborate across functions and geographies, design target architectures, and lead international implementation and upgrade projects, with a focus on data quality, automation and AI use cases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Informatics, CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Several years in application ownership or consulting for PLM/engineering IT systems in an international industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP PLM and SAP DMS, SAP ECC and S/4HANA; product structures, BOMs and change management.
• Experience in requirements engineering, system integration, interfaces, data migration, deployment cycles, and upgrades.
• Fluent English and German; ITIL, PMP, TOGAF and Agile advantages.

Responsibilities

• Functional and technical lifecycle of global SAP PLM, product data and engineering applications, including demand, release, incident and problem management.
• Definition of target architectures and roadmaps, translating cross-functional requirements into maintainable, scalable solutions.
• End-to-end design of processes and integrations across SAP PLM/DMS, SAP ECC and S/4HANA, CAD/PDM, OpenPDM, workflow and project management.
• Lead international implementation, upgrade, migration and rollout projects, including fit-gap, testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare and supplier management.
• 2nd/3rd-level support, root-cause analyses, standardization, data quality, Digital Thread and AI use cases.

You can look forward to these exciting tasks:

• Responsibility for the functional and technical lifecycle of global SAP PLM, product data and engineering applications, including demand, release, change, incident and problem management
• Definition of target architectures, solution designs and roadmaps, as well as translation of cross-functional business requirements into maintainable, scalable and compliant solutions
• Design of end-to-end processes and integrations across SAP PLM/DMS, SAP ECC and S/4HANA, CAD/PDM, OpenPDM, workflow and project management systems
• Leadership of international implementation, upgrade, migration and rollout projects, including fit-gap analysis, testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare, as well as risk and supplier management
• Provision of 2nd-/3rd-level support for business-critical processes, execution of root-cause analyses, and advancement of standardization, automation, data quality, Digital Thread and AI use cases

This is what you bring to us:

• Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in application ownership, solution architecture or consulting for PLM and engineering IT systems within an international industrial environment
• In-depth knowledge of SAP PLM and SAP DMS, SAP ECC and S/4HANA, product structures, bills of materials, as well as document and engineering change management; knowledge of 3DEXPERIENCE, 4PEP, SAP Basis, ABAP, UI5 and MS DevOps is an advantage
• Experience in requirements engineering, system integration, interfaces, data migration, deployment cycles, and upgrade or rollout projects
• Analytical and structured working style, strong communication across business functions, IT and suppliers, as well as fluency in English and German; ITIL, PMP, TOGAF and agile methodologies are an advantage
