Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT team member to join our Berlin-Adlershof office. This hybrid role combines internal IT operations, oversight of infrastructure, and occasional client-site support. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing Linux systems, configuring networks, supporting enterprise software tools (e.g., SAP, ERP), and ensuring compliance with local IT and facility regulations such as GDPR and EHS.

Responsibilities:

IT-Related Responsibilities (Internal/Office-Based)

1. Support and maintain Linux servers and command-line operations, including system diagnostics, log monitoring, and scripting tasks.
2. Configure and maintain LAN, IP planning, subnetting, DHCP/DNS services.
3. Ensure IT operations are compliant with local regulations (e.g., GDPR) and help enforce data security standards.
4. Maintenance of existing software/webpage with a guide and little development.
5. Collaborate with internal teams on CRM, SAP, ERP systems, BI dashboards, and other enterprise software tools. Able to use/build these tools’ API.
6. Support system patching, system updates, and adherence to IT security policies.
7. Document system architecture, procedures, and SOPs.

Facility-Related Responsibilities (Internal/Office-Based)

1. Basic knowledge of electrical infrastructure, power safety concepts, and EHS compliance.
2. Perform facility compliance assessments to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and IT-related regulatory standards.
3. Maintain equipment monitoring systems, ensure systems in server rooms are functioning, and manage access control for technical areas.
4. Set up / Ensure the availability of facility networks, including instruments, routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure.

Field IT Responsibilities (Client-Site Support)

1. Provide on-site IT support at customer facilities for device installation, system setup, and network configuration.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues directly at client sites during rollout or post-deployment phases. (A specialist will help you at the beginning)

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Based in Germany and available for full-time on-site work in Berlin-Adlershof.
3. Hands-on experience with Linux systems and command-line operations.
4. Solid understanding of IP networking, including subnetting, router/switch setup, and firewall management.
5. Familiarity with electrical infrastructure, EHS standards, and facility compliance.
6. Experience with GDPR and local IT regulations; practical knowledge of data security practices.
7. Proficiency with enterprise software such as SAP, ERP, or BI platforms.
8. Basic understanding of scripting or software development workflows is a plus.
9. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or similar data tools preferred.
10. A collaborative and responsible team player with strong communication and self-learning ability.
11. Fluent English required; German or Chinese language skills are a bonus.
12. Biology-related knowledge is a plus.
