The Senior Manager Sales role is dedicated to the Marine market and involves directing and executing sales plans and programs. The position requires leading a team in developing client relationship management strategies, establishing strong client relationships, and proposing innovative solutions to meet client needs. The preferred location for this role is in Europe, but North America is also an option.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Directs SAMs who interact daily with End Users, OEMs, referred OEMs, Industrial Distributors, channel partners, and Industry Trade Organizations.
  2. Performs performance management of the team, coaching, training, and developing sales personnel. Manages disciplined selling processes to meet quotas, including account planning, territory management, and CRM proficiency. Reviews account segmentation and assignments annually. Deploys sales resources effectively to meet or exceed quotas.
  3. Develops sales talent within the organization to build bench strength.
  4. Collaborates effectively with Vertical and Regional Sales Leaders.
  5. Sets short- and long-term sales strategies and assesses current sales deployment effectiveness to drive market share growth.
  6. Provides management with insights on market trends, competition, VOC, and industry developments.
  7. Executes strategic plans and serves as an escalation point for sales and customer issues.
  8. Maintains regular reviews of sales funnel and ATOs with sellers and business partners.
  9. Utilizes analytics, insights, and reporting through CRM tools daily to track progress and coach sellers using KPIs.
  10. Leads customer training sessions and plant visits to enhance competency and awareness.
  11. Addresses customer issues, coordinates on quality topics, and manages root cause countermeasure processes.
  12. Participates and leads in trade organization activities.
  13. Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, ease of doing business, and reduce operational costs.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • University Degree in Engineering, Economics, or Management.
  • At least 7 years of experience in sales management, particularly in the Marine market.
  • Experience managing complex sales environments and developing talent.
  • Strong business acumen in sales and sales operations management.
  • Strategic mindset with an 80/20 focus.
  • Ability to lead change and foster continuous improvement.
  • Organizational skills and understanding of CRM and BI tools.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
