Your role involves collaborating with R&D, legal, marketing, and business development teams to protect innovations, managing IP portfolios, conducting searches, and developing mitigation strategies for IP risks.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing and implementing comprehensive IP strategies supporting new business goals.
2. Managing IP portfolios including patents, design patents, and trade secrets.
3. Conducting prior art, freedom-to-operate, and invalidity searches; supporting patent drafting and trademark matters.
4. Identifying IP risks and developing mitigation strategies, including invalidation actions.
5. Communicating with stakeholders and preparing decision-making templates.
6. Training internal teams on IP best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Experience as a patent attorney or attorney-at-law, especially in patent litigation.
2. Proven expertise in IP strategy and portfolio management in high-tech or medically regulated industries.
3. Strong knowledge of international IP laws, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
4. Excellent communication and analytical skills, with fluency in German and English; Chinese is a plus.
