We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow our engineering team, driving excellence in technology development and people management.

The successful candidate is expected to pass a live coding interview.

What to expect
  • Leadership & Team Management:

    • Incubate, grow, lead, manage, and mentor engineers (individual contributors).

    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions with engineers, providing constructive feedback and support.

    • Identify skill gaps and develop training programs to enhance team capabilities.

  • Planning & Execution:

    • Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to define and execute the product roadmap.

    • Set clear objectives, prioritize tasks, and manage resources to ensure the timely delivery.

    • Drive the adoption of best engineering practices, including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and automated testing.

  • Technical Oversight:

    • Provide technical guidance and direction to lead and senior engineers, ensuring alignment with the technology standards and goals.

    • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of IoT systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

    • Be ready and able to roll up your sleeves and dive into solving technical problems hands-on when needed, demonstrating a deep understanding of the technology stack and a commitment to team success.

    • Continuously evaluate and improve software performance.

    • Monitor and maintain firmware applications to ensure high availability and scalability.

    • Proactively identify and propose solutions to problems.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and hardware engineering.

    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams, removing obstacles and facilitating problem-solving.

  • Talent Acquisition & Retention:

    • Participate in the recruitment process to attract top engineering talent.


Inspire is by

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience in product engineering or R&D, and technical leadership or people management.

  • 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering (coding, software development).

  • 5+ years of post-graduation work experience, with 1+ years in people management

  • 3+ years of technical leadership experience

  • Strong programming experience in Python or another object-oriented language.

  • Proficiency in Linux and Bash scripting.

  • Deep understanding of the client-server model and secure backend architecture.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.

  • Experience with Docker and cloud-native deployment strategies.

  • Understanding of key security concepts and best practices for backend services.

  • Experience with industrial protocols and messaging brokers (e.g., MQTT).

  • Ability to process and interpret large-scale log data.

  • Strong foundation in SQL, algorithms, and system design.

  • Experience with AIoT technologies (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision) and large-scale IoT device management.

  • Strong written and spoken English skills (level C1 on the CEFR scale).
