Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IoT Engineer specialized in UX Design to join our innovative team. You will be responsible for creating intuitive user experiences for mobile applications and smart appliance interfaces, ensuring seamless integration between IoT technologies and exceptional user-centric design. The ideal candidate combines strong UX design skills with technical IoT expertise, a creative mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

As an IoT Engineer, you will do:

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and create interactive prototypes to refine user experience.
• Design intuitive UX/UI for mobile applications controlling IoT-enabled smart appliances.
• Develop engaging interfaces for appliance control panels.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Software, Hardware, and Firmware teams to align UX designs with overall product goals.
• Participate in defining and implementing IoT solutions for smart home appliances.
• Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of IoT applications and systems.
• Ensure UX consistency across various smart home products and applications.
• Stay updated with IoT technologies, protocols, and smart home standards.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or related fields.
• 3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, specifically for IoT or smart home products.
• Solid understanding of IoT architectures and protocols (e.g., MQTT, BLE, ZigBee, Wi-Fi).
• Proficient in UX design tools (Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or equivalent).
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Experience designing UX for smart kitchen appliances or consumer electronics.
• Understanding of software/hardware integration.
• Creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Passion for exceptional user experiences and smart home innovation.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to dynamic team environments
• English and German skills in writing and speaking
