Job summary

Moonfare is seeking a detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join our Investments team in Berlin. You will analyze financial data, build valuation models, and engage with private markets strategies across Buyout, Growth, VC, Secondaries, Infrastructure, and Private Debt.

Responsibilities

Investment Associate (m/f/d)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Analyst to join our high-performing Investments team in Berlin. In this role, you will collaborate with leading private equity managers, drive strategic initiatives, and support new product launches. This position offers hands-on exposure to diverse private equity strategies and the opportunity to take ownership of impactful responsibilities while building meaningful industry relationships from day one.

You will:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and models in Excel to evaluate investment opportunities
• Develop a deep understanding of the private markets through exposure to multiple strategies, including Buyout, Growth, Venture Capital, Secondaries, Infrastructure, and Private Debt
• Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports for primary fund investments, co-investments, and secondary transactions
• Drive strategic initiatives, including the launch of new products and cross-functional projects
• Monitor and report on fundraising performance, contributing to achieving target fundraise goals
• Design and refine presentations in PowerPoint to summarise findings and recommendations
• Cross collaborate internally to ensure seamless execution and commercialisation of investment opportunities
• Contextualise data and insights from multiple sources to provide clear, actionable conclusions

The next Moonfarian:

• Has a minimum of 3 year relevant financial services experience in areas such as investment banking, transaction services, private markets, consulting firms, or a start-up
• Has proven technical and analytical skills, with experience conducting financial valuation analysis
• Has a high proficiency in Excel, including financial and valuation modeling
• Has a hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
• Has refined research skills and is committed to finding the most accurate data available
• Is highly collaborative and understands the value in sharing information
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Is a natural at building relationships and has the ability to listen and persuade
• Has a proactive approach and takes ownership of their work

We can only accept applications from those eligible to live and work in Berlin. This is a hybrid role with office attendance required 4 days/week.
