Job Description:

The Investigator Contracts Lead is responsible for site-facing contract and budget negotiations, including initial agreements, amendments, and oversight of contracting professionals on assigned studies. This role manages the Per-Subject Cost (PSC) process, escalation and resolution of budget and legal issues, and collaborates on site contracting timelines. It may act as a primary contact for high-priority or complex studies, requiring minimal oversight.

  • Exercise independent judgment in site contracting
  • Manage contract and budget escalations effectively
  • Make decisions balancing risks and trial timelines
  • Solve moderate complexity site contracting issues
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute clinical study agreements
  • Oversee global site budget process
  • Negotiate costs and terms with sites and investigators
  • Build relationships with investigational sites and organizations
  • Lead negotiation teams and act as primary contact for contracting issues
  • Partner with Legal and other divisions to manage escalations and improvements
  • Apply advanced knowledge of site contracting and budgets
  • Coordinate with invoicing specialists to ensure alignment
  • Contribute to major business initiatives and projects
Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in clinical development operations or outsourcing with a bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in clinical study budgets and negotiations
  • Knowledge in business, compliance, finance, legal, and drug development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to mitigate risks to timelines
  • Leadership by influence in a matrix organization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in clinical operations with a master's degree
  • 2+ years with a Juris Doctorate or similar, with expertise in drafting and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements
