Job Description:

The Investigator Contracts Lead is responsible for site-facing contract and budget negotiations, including initial agreements, amendments, and oversight of contracting professionals for assigned studies. This role manages the Per-Subject Cost (PSC) process, escalations, and collaborates on site contracting timelines. It may serve as the primary contact for high-priority or complex studies requiring minimal oversight.

  • Exercise independent judgment in site contracting decisions.
  • Manage escalations related to contracts and budgets effectively.
  • Make informed decisions balancing risks and trial timelines.
  • Resolve moderate complexity site contracting issues with innovative solutions.
  • Follow GPD processes to develop and execute global clinical study agreements.
  • Oversee global site budget development.
  • Negotiate costs and contractual terms with investigators and institutions.
  • Build relationships with key investigative sites and organizations.
  • Lead negotiation teams and act as the primary contact for site issues.
  • Partner with Legal and other divisions for escalation management and process improvements.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of site contracting principles.
  • Coordinate with invoicing teams to ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Contribute to major business initiatives and projects within GPD/WSR.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in clinical development operations or outsourcing with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience with clinical study budgets and negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of business, compliance, legal, and finance aspects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to mitigate risks to timelines.
  • Proven leadership through influence in a matrix organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years with a master's degree in relevant fields.
  • 2+ years with a Juris Doctorate or similar, with expertise in drafting and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements.
