Investigator Contracts Lead is responsible for direct site-facing contract and budget negotiations through contract execution with assigned clinical investigator sites, including initial agreements and amendments, as well as oversight of other contracting professionals on assigned studies. This role also involves managing the Per-Subject Cost (PSC) process, handling escalation and resolution for budget and non-legal term issues, and collaborating with other teams to plan site contracting timelines during start-up.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Exercise good judgment in balancing Pfizer's risks when making budget and contractual decisions, considering trial timelines.
  2. Follow GPD processes to develop, negotiate, track, and execute global clinical study agreements.
  3. Develop and oversee the global site budget process.
  4. Negotiate costs, business, and contractual terms directly with investigators and institutions, within approved templates.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with investigational sites and Site Management Organizations.
  6. Lead study-level site contracting activities and serve as the primary contact for site contracting issues.
  7. Partner with Legal and other divisions to manage escalations and improve processes in site contracting.
  8. Collaborate with invoicing specialists to ensure alignment with contracting and compensation requirements.

**Basic Qualifications:**

  • 5+ years of experience in clinical development operations or outsourcing, with a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with clinical study budgets and contracting principles.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan and mitigate risks related to site contracting timelines.
  • Proven leadership ability through influence in a matrix organization.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • 2+ years of experience in clinical operations or outsourcing, with a US Juris Doctorate or similar legal degree.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements globally.
