Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain analytics
- Proven track record in ecommerce and/or Amazon-related inventory operations
- Experience working with large product catalogs (5,000+ SKUs preferred)
- Familiarity with forecasting tools and advanced Google Sheets modeling
- Exposure to Python, SQL, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a strong plus

- High-level problem solver who also enjoys rolling up sleeves and handling detailed execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; able to explain complex data simply

About the Role
We are looking for a strategic yet hands-on Inventory Optimization Manager to own the process of creating accurate adjusted sales velocities across a large catalog of over 5,000 SKUs. This role is critical to enabling smarter purchasing decisions, improved forecasting, and optimized inventory flows across multiple channels.
The successful candidate will take ownership of this process, refine and improve it, and ensure accuracy and reliability as it scales.
Beyond velocities, this person will optimize on-hand inventory levels by driving liquidation initiatives. They will coordinate with the Marketing team to strategically launch promotions that move excess inventory without harming brand value. They will also create and track metrics and KPIs to measure progress, reporting results directly to the Supply Chain Director.
Your Responsibilities Will Include (but not limited to):
- Own the process of calculating adjusted SKU velocities, removing distortions from stockouts and sales spikes
- Drive and improve the semi-automation of velocity calculations for a 5,000+ SKU catalog
- Optimize on-hand inventory levels by planning and executing liquidation initiatives
- Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain and Marketing teams to strategically launch promotions that sell through excess inventory
- Create and track metrics and KPIs to measure progress and ensure accountability
- Build, maintain, and improve reporting tools that feed into demand planning and purchasing decisions
- Present reports, insights, and recommendations to the leadership in a clear and actionable way
- Document SOPs, workflows, and systems for velocity management, liquidation, and continuous improvement
