unybrands is seeking an Inventory Accountant to join our Finance team. You will manage monthly inventory reconciliations, record journals, and support close processes across multiple international entities.

The role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on inventory accounting, strong Excel, and NetSuite ERP proficiency. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement to drive process improvements.

• Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Record inventory-related journal entries including adjustments, write-offs, reserves, landed costs, and COGS.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory accounting.
• Review inventory movements across warehouses, fulfillment centers, and 3PL providers.
• Analyze purchases, transfers, returns, adjustments, and disposals.
• Assist in calculating inventory provisions and reserves.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement teams.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Document and improve inventory accounting processes and internal controls.
• Participate in finance transformation and process automation initiatives.
• Support ad hoc finance projects.

About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within ecommerce, retail, consumer products, or inventory-intensive businesses. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory accounting across multiple international entities, supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and continuous process improvements.

• Record inventory-related journal entries, including inventory adjustments, write-offs, reserves, landed costs, and cost of goods sold.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory accounting.
• Review inventory movements across warehouses, fulfillment centers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Analyze purchases, transfers, returns, adjustments, and disposals.
• Assist in calculating inventory provisions and reserves.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement teams.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Document and improve inventory accounting processes and internal controls.
• Participate in finance transformation and process automation initiatives.
• Support ad hoc finance projects.

• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in inventory accounting.
• Experience in ecommerce, retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting.
• Experience with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• ERP experience (NetSuite preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Professional fluency in English.

• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Amazon FBA inventory accounting.
• Knowledge of 3PL warehouse operations.
• Experience in a multinational company.
