Verve is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join its finance team in Frankfurt, focusing on end-to-end accounts payable, intercompany transactions, and month-end activities. The role emphasizes accuracy and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of GL experience, IFRS/German GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and ERP familiarity (Oracle NetSuite preferred). Fluency in English is required for global collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in Intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in Accounting, with a focus on General Ledger.
• Experience with MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the accounts payable process, including posting payments and transactions.
• Provide inputs for weekly cash planning and payment proposals for designated entities.
• Ensure timely reconciliations and clear open items, especially during month-end close.
• Vendor verification and master data maintenance.
• Responsible for intercompany transactions, invoices, posting, and IC reconciliations at month-end.
• Ensure accurate accounting for fixed assets, prepayments, and employee reimbursements.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in line with IFRS / German GAAP.
• Support ongoing improvements of internal financial processes, reporting, and control systems.

What You Will Do

• Overviewing the entire accounts payable process, including posting various business/credit card payments/transactions and preparing/executing payments
• Providing accurate inputs for weekly cash planning and payment proposals for the designated entities
• Ensuring account reconciliations are completed on time, and open items are cleared in a timely manner, especially during the month-end close
• Vendor verification and master data maintenance
• Responsible for intercompany transactions, invoices, posting, and preparing IC reconciliations at month-end
• Ensure accurate accounting for fixed assets, prepayments, employee reimbursement (expensify) approval, and posting
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with IFRS / German GAAP
• Participation in the continuous improvement of the group’s internal financial processes, reporting, and control system
• Interact with other internal stakeholders in accounting matters as needed

What You Will Bring

• Completed vocational training or university degree with a focus on Finance and Accounting
• Experience in processing Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in Accounting, with a focus on General Ledger
• Experience in MS Office is required, with a main focus on Excel
• Full business proficiency in English is a must
• Experience with ERP systems is needed, Oracle NetSuite knowledge is appreciated
• Knowledge of IFRS / German GAAP (or equivalent) is mandatory
• Flexibility to handle different accounting cases (non-standard process actions)
• Accurate, autonomous, and structured manner of work ethic
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
