adidas invites motivated students to apply for Internship Opportunities in Footwear Development (M/F/D) in Herzogenaurach, Germany. Three areas are open: Footwear Development Lifestyle, Footwear Development Sports Performance, and Footwear Material Development Sports Performance.

You will support the development team with daily tasks, data entry, presentations, and sample management. The six-month program offers hands-on experience, collaboration with Marketing, Design, Factories and Liaison

Qualifications

• Students must be enrolled as a full-time student for the complete duration of the internship.
• Penultimate year students preferred with up to one year to graduate after the internship.

Responsabilités

• Assist the development team with daily business and administrative tasks (calendar, data entry, presentations).
• Support style creation, prototypes & testing, fittings, costing, and sample management.
• Coordinate with factories, liaison offices, marketing, design, and innovation partners.
• Contribute to current projects and own small ranges as assigned.

GROW YOUR CAPABILITIES THROUGH MEANINGFUL TASKS & PROJECTS

• Get to know the responsibilities of a footwear developer at adidas
• Assist the development team in daily business and administrative tasks e.g., calendar maintenance, data entry, preparation of presentations, building of material boards, maintenance of the fabric library, meeting/workshop facilitation and documentation etc.
• Support the product development team with specific parts of the product development process such as style creation, prototypes & testing, organization of fittings, comment creation, costing and sample management (including testing), benchmark studies
• Work closely with key partners such as Factories, Liaison Offices, Marketing, Design, Innovation
• Support the development team on current projects and work on own individual projects as assigned e.g., handling small ranges

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A MATCH

• Students of Footwear Engineering, Product Development, Biomechanics, Manufacturing, Sports science/Sports Technology and similar.
• Passion for the respective product categories
• Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel & PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and/or 3D creation software are beneficial.
• Basic understanding of materials and costing

ELIGIBILITY

• Enrolled as full-time student for the complete duration of the internship
• Or in the so-called gap year between Bachelor and Master's degree (gap year regulation only applicable to EU citizens due to working permit regulations)
• Candidates in penultimate year of study preferred (following the internship, students should have maximum one year to graduate)
• Availability for the full duration of the internship from March 2027 - August 2027
• Ability to relocate to Herzogenaurach in Germany for the full duration of the internship
