Marvel Fusion, based in Munich, seeks an Internship - Legal Trainee / Research Associate (f/m/x) to support our legal team in a fast-growing deep-tech environment. You will work on a broad range of topics, including compliance, employee participation, and contract review.

Successful candidates have completed the First German State Examination in Law or are in Referendariat, with strong German and English skills, and an interest in technology, startups, and international work.

Qualifikationen

• Successful completion of the First German State Examination in Law and current or upcoming Referendariat.
• Broad interest in business law and willingness to work across different legal areas.
• Pragmatic, commercial mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability and curiosity to quickly understand complex legal, technical and regulatory topics.
• Strong written and spoken German and English.

Aufgaben

• Gain hands-on exposure to legal challenges of a fast-growing deep-tech company.
• Support the implementation and day-to-day operation of our compliance framework.
• Assist in administration of the employee participation program.
• Review and draft commercial agreements and other legal documentation.
• Conduct legal research and translate complex requirements into pragmatic business recommendations.
• Help improve legal processes, templates and workflows, including via technology and automation.

Your responsibilities

• As part of our Legal Team, you will gain hands-on exposure to the legal challenges of a fast-growing deep-tech company. Your responsibilities will span a broad range of topics, with a particular focus on:
  • Supporting the implementation and day-to-day operation of our compliance framework
  • Administration of our employee participation program
  • Reviewing and drafting commercial agreements and other legal documentation
  • Conducting legal research and translating complex legal requirements into pragmatic recommendations for the business
  • Helping us improve legal processes, templates and workflows, including through the use of technology and automation

Requirements

• You have successfully completed the First German State Examination in Law (Erstes Staatsexamen) and are either preparing for or currently completing your legal traineeship (Referendariat)
• Broad interest in business law and an eagerness to work across different legal and regulatory areas
• A pragmatic and commercial mindset, strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability and curiosity to quickly understand complex legal, technical and regulatory topics
• Strong written and spoken German and English
• Genuine interest in technology, start-ups and working in a fast-paced and international environment

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tools and an interest in using AI for legal research, drafting, knowledge management or process automation is a plus
