Work as part of an interdisciplinary expert project team to investigate challenging questions related to the lifetime stability of coatings using a broad range of analytical methods
Support the execution of experimental test series on coating lifetime to study the complex relationships between manufacturing processes, cleanliness, and cleaning procedures
Conduct tests, document, analyze and present test results
Contribute to the preparation and refinement of test plans
Current enrollment in a scientific or engineering degree program and willingness to complete a full-time internship for 6 months
Strong understanding of complex technical systems, combined with excellent conceptual and analytical skills
Hands‑on experience with analytical laboratory methods, e.g. optical microscopy, (FIB-)SEM, XPS, TOF-SIMS, AFM, STM, TEM, XRD, etc.
Experience in data management as well as programming skills and knowledge in machine learning are an advantage
Confident use of MS Office applications
Independent, thorough, and collaborative way of working
Very good German skills and good English skills, both spoken and written
