Stryker Freiburg is offering a Medical Technology Internship within its R&D team, focusing on AI, medical imaging, and software for neurosurgical procedures. You will contribute to real-world healthcare challenges, collaborate with engineers, and gain hands-on experience in a global environment.

The internship is six months, paid, hybrid in Freiburg, with start in March or April 2027. You are pursuing a Master's in relevant fields and have experience in C++, Python, and MATLAB; English at C1

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, AI, or related field.
• Good knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with C++, Python, or MATLAB.
• Familiarity with Qt, OpenCV, or comparable frameworks.
• Curiosity for medical technology innovation and healthcare applications.
• Very good English language skills (C1).

Responsabilités

• Support the development and evaluation of software prototypes for surgical navigation systems.
• Contribute to AI and digital healthcare proof-of-concept projects.

What You'll Do

• Support the development and evaluation of innovative software prototypes for surgical navigation systems
• Contribute to medical technology proof-of-concept projects focused on artificial intelligence and digital healthcare solutions
• Develop and improve software applications using C++, Python, and MATLAB
• Explore and apply machine learning, geometric algorithms, information retrieval, and medical imaging technologies
• Collaborate with an international Research & Development team to transform innovative ideas into solutions for healthcare professionals

Germany Pay Range: Freiburg 39Std: €2.476,89 EUR Monthly

Work Flexibility Remote - Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.

Field-based - You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.

Onsite - Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.

Hybrid - You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
