The internship requires studies in aerospace engineering, physics, or numerical simulation, plus mandatory programming in Python and/or C++. Knowledge of ray tracing, GUI programming, and multithreading is a plus.

Your Tasks

The propulsion departmentfrom OHB is looking for an intern to enhance its contamination andcontamination transport modelling tool called openContam. The objectiveof the internship is to further develop, test, and validate the software tosupport spacecraft contamination analyses during mission design and operations.The intern will be fully integrated into the Analysis team of the propulsiondepartment.

openContam is a modularsimulation framework used to predict molecular, contamination effects onspacecraft surfaces and sensitive payloads. The internship will focus onimproving the software capabilities, implementing new functionalities, andvalidating the tool against analytical solutions, experimental data, andreference cases.

Your Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Very good communication skills
• High proficiency in English as working language, both spoken and written
• Duration: minimum 5 months
