Finatal is seeking an experienced Interim Group CFO to establish transparency at group level, strengthen the finance function, and support management and shareholders across strategic and operational topics. The role requires leadership in a decentralised setting across multiple entities and a hands-on approach.

There is potential for the assignment to develop into a permanent CFO position, with on-site work in Germany.

Qualifikationen

• Proven interim CFO or senior finance executive experience.
• Strong hands-on background in group consolidation and holding structures.
• Experience in investor-backed environments (private equity preferred).
• M&A and post-transaction finance experience.
• Ability to operate across decentralised organisations with multiple entities.
• Strategic oversight with hands-on execution and stakeholder management.
• Fluency in German and English.

We are currently supporting an investment-backed group through an important phase of professionalisation and further growth.

Following a recent transaction, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Group CFO who can quickly establish transparency at group level, strengthen the finance function and support management and shareholders across a number of strategic and operational finance topics.

The role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a decentralised environment, can work across several entities and is able to combine strong technical finance capabilities with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach. Experience within project‑based or service‑oriented businesses would be particularly relevant.

There is also the possibility for the assignment to develop into a permanent CFO position.

Key Responsibilites

Profile

• Proven experience as an Interim CFO, Group CFO or senior finance executive
• Strong hands‑on background in group consolidation and holding structures
• Experience within private equity or other investor-backed environments
• M&A and post‑transaction experience
• Strong understanding of project‑based and/or service‑oriented business models
• Experience working across decentralised organisations and multiple legal entities
• Able to combine strategic oversight with hands‑on execution
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with management teams, shareholders and local finance functions
• Fluent German and Englisch
