ALPENHAIN Käsespezialitäten GmbH in Germany seeks an agile Head of Finance to lead the Finance & Controlling department. You will drive the finance integration into the international group and establish professional processes and tools in close collaboration with the MD and Group CFO.

The role requires 5–8 years in Finance leadership, IFRS expertise, and strong German/Turkish language skills with business‑level English.

Qualifikationen

• 5–8 years of management experience in Finance & Controlling in a similar size company.
• Experience with post‑acquisition integration or transformation is advantageous.
• Exposure to IFRS and German accounting/tax rules is essential.

• Our client is a successful wholesale company in Germany, which recently has been acquired by an international food group specializing in ethnic foods
• With appr. 50 employees, our client generates sales in the mid double-digit Mio. € range with customers in traditional ethno-retail and increasingly also in classical German retail (REWE etc.)
• In the now starting post acquisition phase our client is focusing on process harmonisation with the international group and further professionalisation in close collaboration with the new owners
• To support this process and to offer a committed Finance Business Partner for the new Managing Director (MD) in Germany, we are now looking for an agile Head of Finance (a. g.)
• The job holder will be part of the German management team and has two reporting lines: to the German MD and the international Group CFO

MAIN TASKS

• Leading the Finance & Controlling department within Germany
• Managing the finance integration of the business into the group
• Establishment of a professional organisation, processes and tools
• Coordinating the external accounting firm, Overseeing month-and year-end closings and statutory audits and ensure compliance with German accounting and tax regulations
• Developing reliable management reporting and KPIs
• Supporting IFRS reporting and consolidation and implement reporting standards of the group as well as internal controls and risk management
• Monitoring of cash flow and liquidity, maintaining banking relationships

YOUR PROFILE

• At least 5 - 8 years of management experience as a manager/director of Finance & Controlling (a. g.) in a comparable role/company size
• Expertise in set up and development of teams and organisations
• Exposure to post-acquisition integration, transformation or change environments would be an advantage
• Exposure to international business environments, familiar with IFRS and with German accounting and tax regulations
• Strong experience with ERP and BI/reporting tools
• Hands on approach combined with strong leadership and internal as well as external communication skills
• Fluent German and Turkish are mandatory, combined with business-fluent English
