What the Job Looks Like

Each day offers a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Leading Post-Merger Integration (PMI) projects with full end-to-end responsibility, including strategic search and feasibility assessment for integration from the start
  • Developing suitable integration approaches / Target Operating Models (TOM) during deal evaluations (Due Diligence phase), tailored to deal types and seller needs
  • Managing cross-functional integration teams and engaging with international pharma partners as the key contact for all integration topics
  • Preparing Project Steering Committee materials and managing internal and external stakeholders, focusing on Operations / Value Chain
  • Facilitating strategic alliances post-M&A or licensing deals
  • Driving and expanding alliances through regular steering meetings and action tracking; contributing to strategic negotiations and identifying future business opportunities
  • Ensuring smooth operational transitions aligned with KPIs, safeguarding business continuity and EBITDA targets
  • Collaborating with the Integration & Alliance team to continuously improve capabilities and processes

What You'll Bring to the Table

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A university degree in economics or life sciences
  • Proven experience leading PMI initiatives or business development in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Solid understanding of pharma operations, supply chain, and regulatory frameworks
  • Fluent English skills; German and Spanish are advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder management and intercultural communication skills, with adaptability to different cultural ways of working
  • A strategic, collaborative, and proactive mindset
  • A resilient, team-oriented attitude with problem-solving skills to lead long-term projects
