What You’ll Get to Do:
As a CACI Integrated Air and Missile Defense Planner supporting USAFRICOM J34 (ACJ34), you will assist the government with operational planning for air and missile defense operations within the U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).
More About this Role:
- Provides joint military decision-making process (JMDMP) planning and operations support for USAFRICOM’s IAMD mission and theater objectives.
- Analyzes PMESII factors influencing military and political strategy, and the impact of domestic and foreign policy on Air Defense (AD) and Missile Defense (MD) within the USAFRICOM AOR.
- Provides analytical expertise to integrate regional strategies into operational and crisis planning processes.
- Serves as liaison between USAFRICOM and other combatant commands when required.
- Represents USAFRICOM at IAMD conferences and planning events.
- Coordinates development of OPLANS, EXORDS, and crisis action planning orders, as well as OPT membership and CONPLAN updates.
- Supports the development of research products for Joint Lessons Learned (JLL) databases.
- Coordinates service component input and generates observations for the MD Warfighter Involvement Process (WIP) and related lists.
- Provides analysis to devise courses of action for employment of equipment, tactics, and strategy to achieve mission goals.
- Collaborates with USAFRICOM components and subordinate commands to develop coherent IAMD plans.
- Conducts studies applying principles of specialized fields.
- Performs systematic analysis of complex problems to find planning solutions.
- Prepares and presents multimedia briefings and reports.
- Reports on staff action packages for command audiences.
- Distills key data from programs, development, funding, and operational plans.
- Extracts intelligence from classified and unclassified sources to support conclusions.
- Represents USAFRICOM at meetings on air and missile defense interests.
- Informs supervisors of impacts on national and international IAMD systems or programs.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Active TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance
- A MA or MS in a related discipline with 3 years of experience; or a BA or BS with 6 years; or an Associate’s Degree with 9 years’ experience.
- Experience with the Joint Planning Process applied to IAMD concepts.
- Training and military education focused on IAMD.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Prior experience working in Africa or at AFRICOM or its Service Components.
