Job summary

Big Science Sweden invites applications for an Instrument Scientist to join the SQS group at European XFEL. The role focuses on operation and maintenance of 2D imaging detectors and on supporting and developing coherent diffraction imaging experiments with clusters, nanoparticles and biomolecules.

You will also operate and develop sample delivery sources for clusters and nanoparticles, participate in the broad SQS science program, and develop your own research activities at the facility while

Qualifications

• PhD in physics or an equivalent academic degree.
• Experience with coherent diffraction imaging methods.
• Experience in handling and operation of cluster and nanoparticles sources and/or liquid jets.
• Motivation to participate in the operation of an experimental station enabling forefront research at Free Electron Lasers.
• Substantial knowledge of data acquisition and data processing tools.
