The Role :

Key Responsibilities for this role :

  1. Manage and originate institutional client and prospect relationships in Germany.
  2. Deliver M&G's full capabilities as an investment manager partner to key client targets in these markets, with a focus on private assets.
  3. Contribute proactively to M&G Germany's institutional strategy.
  4. Ensure adherence to team processes and procedures.
  5. Develop internal relationships with product and fund management teams, understanding their focus areas and helping bring these to market in the region.
  6. Develop deep knowledge of M&G’s relevant funds, strategies, and solutions, and how to position these with target clients.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls, supporting improvements in the control environment, customer outcomes, and reducing operational risk.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

  1. Strong team player and consensus builder, balancing high motivation with a desire to work collaboratively.
  2. Experience in a multi-asset class investment environment: fixed income, equity, real estate debt and equity, infrastructure, private equity, and private debt; deep private markets knowledge is essential.
  3. Strong technical skills; portfolio management and/or investment consulting experience are advantageous but not essential.
  4. Deep understanding of and experience with local German regulations for different types of institutional investors.
  5. Proven track record in institutional sales, managing clients, and winning new business.
  6. Results-oriented, focused on achievements rather than activity.
  7. Strong communication skills; native German and fluent English.
  8. Organized and methodical approach to tasks.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  10. Degree educated; investment management qualification and/or CFA/CAIA designation are a plus.

  2. Ensure successful implementation of strategy.
  3. Balance competing requirements to deliver results, resolving conflicts.
  4. Address complex problems with broad ramifications, managing different parts of systems and linking to the bigger picture.
  5. Drive continuous improvement.
