Job summary

sfm medical devices GmbH is seeking an experienced metrology-oriented professional to inspect, program and monitor CMM-based measurement processes, support method validation, and drive production approvals for serial manufacturing in a medical technology environment.

You will work with precision measuring equipment, create inspection procedures, compile certificates, and collaborate across teams to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training in metrology or a closely related field.
• Several years of professional experience in quality management.
• Experience working with measuring and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor inspection and measuring equipment.
• Program 3D coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and optimize measurement programs.
• Conduct method validation and measurement system capability studies.
• Prepare inspection procedures and select appropriate measuring equipment.
• Create and manage inspection and sample certificates.
• Perform measurements using a CMM and support internal production approvals.
• Provide metrology support for PPAP inspection reports and tooling acceptance.

Perform inspection and measuring equipment monitoring

Program 3D coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)

Conduct method validation and measurement system capability studies

Perform mechanical material testing

Monitor inspection and measuring equipment and perform internal calibration activities

Prepare inspection procedures and select appropriate measuring equipment

Create and manage inspection and sample certificates

Perform measurements using a 3D coordinate measuring machine (CMM)

Create and optimize measurement programs

Perform internal production approvals for series production, including initial sample inspections

Provide metrology support for the preparation of PPAP inspection reports and tooling acceptance

Your Qualifications:

Completed technical vocational training, preferably as a metrology technician, skilled technical worker, or state-certified mechanical engineering technician

Strong focus on quality and a solution-oriented, collaborative communication style

Several years of professional experience in quality management

Experience working with measuring and inspection equipment

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
