Aufgabe:
You will work as a mechanical design engineer in our Hardware development department in Böblingen/Germany as part of a dedicated team to develop and enhance our V93000 semiconductor test system. As the world's leading supplier of automatic test equipment, Advantest is dedicated to create leading edge systems for the semiconductor and communications industry - the technologies upon which our rapidly evolving information society is based. To meet the permanently increasing test challenges of modern semiconductors we continuously enhance our existing platform with new Hardware modules. In your new job, you will design complex mechanical components and assemblies for our testers. Close cooperation with our electrical engineers as well as with procurement and production engineers is essential. You will explore new state of the art manufacturing possibilities and strongly interact with our suppliers and customers.

Qualifikation:
University degree in mechanical engineering or similar. Professional experience in using 3D CAD tools (preferably PTC Creo Elements/Direct Modeling or Siemens NX). Knowledge of modern manufacturing capabilities and some experience in creating mechanical design studies and prototypes (incl. milling, turning, 3D-printing). Knowledge of methods for process-optimization (FMEA, DFx, Simulation). Good team and communication skills, cross-functional, cross-cultural, and across hierarchy levels. Basic knowledge and experience with project management techniques. Good team player with a practical attitude.
