Job Description:

Introduction: As a key member of our international team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative medical technology solutions used by hospitals worldwide. As an Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will manage and maintain our company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and performance. This role involves collaborating with other IT professionals to support and optimize our systems, networks, and servers.

Responsibilities:

  • System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software applications (technologies: HP, Microsoft, Linux).
  • Network Management: Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs (technologies: NEMS, Aruba, Aruba Central, Palo Alto).
  • Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly (technology: Jira Ticket system).
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability (technologies: Veeam Backup, Sure Backup).
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and current documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures (technology: Confluence).
  • Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT staff.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in IT infrastructure and system administration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and network management tools.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications like CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and German (C1 level, spoken and written).
