Zusammenfassung

VoiceLine, a Munich-based startup, seeks an Infrastructure & Security Engineer to own the platform infrastructure and security posture. You will influence architectural decisions and implement major changes alongside the CTO and current infra engineer.

You will work with our Delivery team on customer-specific deployments, automate operations, and build observability so engineers ship faster. Excellent English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on, full-time infrastructure experience.
• Deep AWS experience, since our platform runs on it.
• Strong command of infrastructure as code, containerized workloads and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid security fundamentals: identity and access management, network security, secrets handling, and working with compliance frameworks.
• You do not have to be a full-time software engineer, but you do not back away from writing and shipping code when the task calls for it.
• You find it interesting that infrastructure will evolve over time and may not look the same in twelve months.
• Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Own and evolve AWS infrastructure with planned platform changes.
• Define security standards and own them end to end, including IAM, network security, vulnerability and dependency management, controls, audit readiness.
• Make architectural calls on operation, deployment and scaling, including portability and self-hosted stack considerations.
• Collaborate with CTO and existing infra/security engineer on technical direction and ownership split.
• Implement customer-specific infra and security setups with the Delivery team (SSO, access control, data residency).
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code, CI/CD and observability to accelerate shipping.
• Serve as technical counterpart for enterprise security reviews, questionnaires and penetration tests.

The Role

Your Mission

As an Infrastructure & Security Engineer at VoiceLine, you will own the infrastructure our product runs on and the security posture around it. Over the coming months we are making substantial changes to how and where our platform operates, and you will be the person shaping those architectural decisions and implementing them. You will work in a small, senior setup: directly with our CTO and with the engineer who currently owns our infrastructure and security. You will also work close to our customers, since some of Europe's largest industrial companies run their field sales on our platform and their security and deployment requirements land on your desk directly.

This is not a ticket-driven ops role.

Routine operational toil is increasingly handled by automation and AI agents. We are hiring for judgment: architecture, security standards, and the ability to implement them yourself rather than hand them off.

Your Tasks

• Own and evolve our AWS infrastructure, including a significant set of platform changes planned for the months ahead
• Define our security standards and own them end to end, covering access and identity, network security, vulnerability and dependency management, controls, audit and certification readiness
• Make the architectural calls on how our platform is operated, deployed and scaled, including how portable and provider-independent it needs to be and how much of our stack we run ourselves
• Work directly with our CTO and our existing infrastructure and security engineer on technical direction, and split ownership of the platform between you
• Implement customer-specific infrastructure and security setups together with our Delivery team, from SSO and network access to isolation and data-residency requirements
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code, CI/CD and observability so engineers ship fast without waiting on you
• Act as our technical counterpart for enterprise security reviews, questionnaires and penetration tests

Your Profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on, full-time infrastructure experience. Two to five years is our sweet spot, and more is very welcome
• Deep AWS experience, since our entire platform runs on it. This one is non-negotiable
• Strong command of infrastructure as code, containerized workloads and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid security fundamentals: identity and access management, network security, secrets handling, and working with compliance frameworks in practice
• You do not have to be a full-time software engineer, but you do not back away from writing and shipping code when the task calls for it
• You find it interesting rather than alarming that our infrastructure will not look the same in twelve months as it does today
• Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus
