Job summary

Cloud Bridge Tech Recruitment is seeking an Infrastructure & Network Engineer for a hybrid role in Darmstadt, Germany. The position involves implementing and supporting secure, scalable cloud and on‑premise infrastructure in Azure and hybrid environments.

You will build infrastructure as code with Terraform, develop CI/CD pipelines, manage Microsoft 365 services, and mentor colleagues while improving security and reliability in line with SLAs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure or Network Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Strong Azure skills, including compute, networking, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancer, ExpressRoute and gateways, and hybrid/on‑premise environments.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform infrastructure as code and scripting.
• Solid networking fundamentals including LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD and ITIL-aligned service management.
• Experience with incident response, SLAs, patching, hardening and vulnerability management.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Awareness of ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2 and CIS.
• Excellent English communication skills and a collaborative mentoring style.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support Azure and on-premise infrastructure, including hybrid and multi-cloud integrations.
• Lead cloud migration activities in line with approved designs and change controls.
• Build infrastructure as code using Terraform and develop CI/CD pipelines for automated, reliable deployments.
• Deliver secure, scalable network infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network and service issues in line with agreed SLAs.
• Own patching, hardening, secure configuration and vulnerability remediation.
• Investigate security alerts and support incident response, recovery and root cause analysis.
• Mentor colleagues and drive continuous improvement.

Infrastructure & Network Engineer

• Contract: Initial 6-month contract
• Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany
• Rate: Up to €650 per day

Our client is looking for an Infrastructure & Network Engineer to implement, operate and support secure, scalable cloud, infrastructure and network services across Azure and hybrid environments. You will help keep critical services fast, resilient and cost-efficient, delivering engineering work to high standards of reliability and security. This role is ideal for a hands‑on third‑line engineer who enjoys cloud, automation and networking, and is committed to raising the security bar.

Nice to have
