Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the Frankfurt team, shaping complex IT environments across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud contexts. You will partner with internal teams and clients to design, implement, and sustain network projects with a focus on reliability and security.

Responsibilities include designing LAN/WAN/SAN architectures, implementing security controls, and enabling cloud integrations with Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a Network Engineer in MSP or similar.
• Strong Cisco/Juniper knowledge.
• Hands-on Fortinet or Palo Alto experience.
• Understanding of BGP/OSPF routing protocols.
• Fluent German (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Contribute to design and architecture of network solutions across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and data centre networking.
• Select suitable network technologies to optimise infrastructure and capacity planning.
• Define network standards, security policies and best practices.
• Install, configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and VPNs.
• Implement security measures including firewalls, IDS/IPS and NAC.
• Deliver network redundancy and high availability solutions.
• Integrate networks with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.
• Monitor network performance and lead troubleshooting and fault analysis.
• Support network automation initiatives using Ansible, Python or Terraform.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors on projects and incidents.
• Support development and mentoring of junior network engineers.

• Proven Experience As A Network Engineer, Ideally Within A Systems House Or MSP Environment
• Strong Working Knowledge Of Cisco And Juniper Networking Technologies
• Hands On Experience With Fortinet Or Palo Alto Network Security Engineering
• Solid Background In Network Support And Operations
• Strong Understanding Of IP Routing Protocols Including BGP And OSPF
• Fluent German Language Skills, Written And Spoken

Desirable Skills:

• Juniper Certification Such As JNCIA Or JNCIP
• Exposure To Network Automation Tooling And Scripting
• Experience With Data Centre Networking, Including VXLAN
