Position: Infrastructure Admin & Project Manager Tech Services IT DACH (m/w/d)

Location: Solingen

Your Main Responsibilities:

1. Management of the IT infrastructure for locations in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), primarily for INFIELD Safety in Solingen and NIKA Optics in Winningen near Koblenz.
2. Ensuring smooth operation of the IT systems to meet business requirements.
3. Management, configuration, and installation of the DACH infrastructure (following group standard guidelines), including: servers, networks, telephone systems, printers and scanners, video conferencing systems, and workstations.
4. Management of the hardware and software lifecycle of the DACH infrastructure to ensure obsolescence of all IT equipment is controlled.
5. Ensuring that information security policies, principles, and practices are integral to the operational environment.
6. Ensuring high availability of the entire IT infrastructure at the Solingen and Winningen locations.
7. Consultation with employees or customers regarding measures, either in person or by phone, to assist in system setup or problem resolution.
8. Troubleshooting system and network issues, diagnosing and resolving hardware or software faults, replacing parts as necessary, prioritizing and managing open cases in the ticketing system.
9. Supporting and collaborating on a global infrastructure rollout project to implement IT corporate standards.
10. Management and maintenance of servers, computer, and software inventories and licenses.
11. Working on and leading IT-related projects (local, regional, and all internal infrastructure projects) initiated by the central team and business requirements.
12. Coordinating and communicating all IT-related topics with internal and external resources.
13. Supporting and providing collaboration solutions (Microsoft platform, workstation policies, etc.) in compliance with corporate IT standards and guidelines.

Your Profile:

1. Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent training, with at least 3 years of experience in server and network infrastructure.
2. Solid experience with collaboration solutions (preferably M365), with a minimum of 5 years of experience with client devices.
3. Experience in project work and (preferably) experience leading small projects, virtualization such as VMware systems.
4. Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, LAN/WAN, switches and routers, telephony solutions, IP phones (Cisco, 3CX), knowledge of cybersecurity tools.
5. Willingness to occasionally work outside of standard hours.
6. Fluent German and very good English skills are required.
