This position is located at US Army Installation Management Command- Europe G9 Library Garrison Support Element, Sembach, Germany.

Duties
  • Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology customer support services.
  • Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization. Identifies and resolves issues and problems.
  • Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures. Provides information and assistance to customers including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluates established methods and procedures and prepares recommendations for changes in methods and practices where appropriate.
  • Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles and practices.

Requirements
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier III background investigation.
  • This position may require a health screening. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
  • Some travel may required for this position- travel to other garrisons within Europe.

Qualifications
Work experience, education, and/or specialized intensive training sufficient to demonstrate IT knowledge and skill in:
1. Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services;
2. Installing, configuring, upgrading and trouble shooting hardware and software components;
3. Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers;
4. Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests.

Qualifying education is graduate education in one of the following fields of study: computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, or technology management, or has provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks
