This hands-on consulting role covers assessment, design, knowledge transfer, cutover, and stabilisation, working with in-country IT teams, retained IT functions, and senior stakeholders across multiple workstreams.

Overview

We are seeking experienced IT Transition Managers to support a large-scale IT transformation programme, transitioning IT systems, applications, and services into a Global Business Services (GBS) / Shared Services operating model.

This is a hands‑on consulting role, covering the full transition lifecycle including assessment, design, knowledge transfer, cutover, and stabilisation. You will work closely with in-country IT teams, retained IT functions, and senior stakeholders to deliver successful transitions across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

IT Transition Delivery

• Lead end-to-end transition of IT systems, applications, and services into the target GBS/Shared Services model.
• Manage transition planning, knowledge transfer activities, cutover execution, and post-transition stabilisation.
• Own and maintain RAID logs, proactively managing risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Ensure transitions are delivered on time and in line with programme objectives.
• Support the design and implementation of standardised IT operating models.
• Identify infrastructure, application, integration, and service delivery gaps.
• Collaborate with system and process owners to define support models, controls, and access requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational readiness initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary contact for IT stakeholders throughout the transition lifecycle.
• Facilitate workshops, governance meetings, steering committees, and status updates.
• Build strong relationships with retained IT teams, business stakeholders, and employee representative bodies where required.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the programme.

Governance & Compliance

• Operate within established programme governance frameworks.
• Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and transition readiness activities.
• Ensure all activities are delivered in a controlled, auditable, and compliant manner.
• Support GDPR and other regulatory compliance requirements during transition activities.

Required Experience

• Proven experience delivering IT transitions, IT transformation programmes, or GBS/Shared Services migrations in a consulting or advisory capacity.
• Experience managing full transition lifecycles including assessment, design, cutover, knowledge transfer, and stabilisation.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, infrastructure environments, integrations, and IT Service Management (ITSM).
• Experience managing complex, multi-country and multi-stakeholder programmes.
• Strong project management, governance, and RAID management expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken).
