Job Description

Position Title: Information Systems Security Engineer

Location: Hanover, MD

Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI

Position Overview:

Join a collaborative and mission-driven team where your contributions directly support the Army’s readiness and modernization goals.

The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) provides cybersecurity engineering support for the development, integration, and authorization of classified systems in accordance with RMF and ICD 503 requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security architectures for new and existing systems.
  • Support the preparation of RMF packages and security control implementation.
  • Conduct system vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigations.
  • Work with ISSOs, system owners, and developers to ensure secure configurations.
  • Develop SSPs, POA&Ms, and test plans to support accreditation activities.
  • Provide security engineering input during system lifecycle events and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting classified cybersecurity engineering efforts.
  • Knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Strong understanding of secure system design and risk management.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
