Job Description:
CSA is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist/ISSO to provide support to a government client located in Grafenwoehr, Germany. As a member of the Cyber Security Team, the ISSO will conduct research, data analysis, onsite Information Assurance support, and Risk Management Framework support. This position is located in Grafenwoehr, Germany. Due to the nature of this work and location, we will be conducting ongoing interviews while this position is contingent upon award.
How Your Role Will Make an Impact:
- Develops and maintains an organizational or system-level cybersecurity program that includes cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives, policies, personnel, and processes.
- Provides support to the System Owner and ISSM for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture.
- Supports the customer on all matters involving the security of their information systems.
- Assists with managing all security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations.
- Assists in developing the system security policy and ensures compliance.
- Prepares, validates, and maintains security documentation such as SSP, RA, CP, PIA, eAuthentication assessment, FIPS categorization.
- Provides configuration management for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware.
- Identifies and mitigates security risks.
- Manages POA&Ms and develops corrective action plans.
- Maintains cybersecurity-related documentation and repositories.
- Ensures implementation of security measures, reports incidents, and coordinates responses.
- Implements and enforces cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Ensures users have proper security clearances and are aware of their responsibilities.
- Coordinates cybersecurity incident responses and reports.
- Follows configuration management procedures and manages exceptions and waivers.
- Ensures compliance with security configuration guides.
- Provides status updates and responds to data calls and reports.
- Participates in cybersecurity workforce meetings and performs system administration and technical operations as needed.
- Supports training activities and participates in planning events.
What You Will Need to Join Our Award-Winning Team:
- Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI and pass CI Poly.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree plus 7 years, or a recognized networking certification plus 7 years, or 11 years of experience.
- Expert understanding of NIST, DoD, & Army Cybersecurity & Risk Management Framework policies and practices.
- Knowledge of industry methods for IT security assessment and tools such as ACAS, SCCM, HBSS.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, incident response, and network security architecture.
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet tools.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and with senior leaders.
- High attention to detail and capacity for extended computer work.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for up to 4 weeks.
- Minimum certifications: DoD ‐M Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification at IAM II level.
What Sets You Apart:
- Bachelor’s in engineering, science, mathematics, or related field.
- Five years experience in planning, supervising, and integrating Army Mission Command Systems for exercises.
- Experience with NIST, ICD, DoD, CNSSI, & Army Cybersecurity & RMF.
- Experience with DIACAP, RMF, and accreditation processes within a SCIF environment and eMASS.
- Knowledge of incident response, system performance, network management, and systems engineering.
- Technical familiarity with MS Windows, Windows Server, and Red Hat Linux.
