Your role and responsibilities
The focus is on the planning and procurement of production equipment and collaboration in the continuous improvement process. You are familiar with devices like manual motor starters, mini- and installation contactors, thermal relays, monitoring relays, and motor controllers. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Conceptual design and performance of new production facilities and preparation of the necessary technical specifications.
- Management of suppliers and responsibility over time and cost targets during the procurement process.
- Commissioning (together with the manufacturer and the operator) as well as organizing trainings for operators and preparing the necessary documents for manufacturing (Work instruction, process instructions, etc.).
- Participation in the continuous improvement process: analysis of the causes of rejects and downtimes and corresponding implementation of optimization measures (partly also at extended workbenches or EMS).
- Planning and monitoring of relocations: Introduction of the production processes at the respective location, the provision of the necessary documentation and the implementation of the necessary training.
- Collaboration in projects as project manager or sub-project manager using the valid gate models. Management of or participation in Kaizen and Lean projects.
Qualifications for the role
- Successfully completed technical studies (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering).
- Fluent in German and English (at least Level B2).
- Willingness to travel: 25%.
- Professional experience in a similar position.
- Familiarity with Lean / 6 Sigma principles, MS Project, Minitab, Windchill.
