Zusammenfassung

Sereact GmbH is seeking an Industrial Designer to shape look, feel, and usability of next-generation autonomous robot systems. You will translate complex requirements into user-centric designs and collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering and R&D to ensure manufacturability and ergonomic robustness.

The role requires a strong portfolio, proficiency in SolidWorks/Rhino/Fusion 360 and rendering tools, plus a solid understanding of injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, and 3D printing.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating aesthetic sensibility and manufacturing knowledge.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Rhino, and Fusion 360 with rendering tools.
• Understanding of injection molding, sheet metal, CNC machining, and 3D printing.
• Ability to bridge design and engineering and communicate with technical teams.

Aufgaben

• Design housings, enclosures, and user-facing components for autonomous robot systems.
• Develop concept sketches, high-fidelity renderings, and detailed 3D models to communicate design intent.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to translate concepts into manufacturable geometries.
• Build and evaluate prototypes (foam, 3D-printed, CNC) to validate form, fit, and UX.
• Iterate designs based on manufacturability, cost, and feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Design housings, enclosures, and user-facing components for advanced autonomous robot systems, balancing aesthetics, ergonomics, and brand identity.
• Develop and communicate design intent effectively through concept sketches, high-fidelity renderings, and detailed 3D models to various stakeholders.
• Collaborate intimately with Mechanical Engineers to translate design concepts into manufacturable geometries and ensure seamless integration with internal components.
• Build and evaluate prototypes (e.g., foam, 3D-printed, CNC) to rigorously validate form, fit, and overall user experience.
• Iterate and refine designs based on critical feedback regarding manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and technical feasibility.
• Act as a bridge between design and engineering, clearly articulating design decisions and fostering synergy across interdisciplinary teams.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating both sophisticated aesthetic sensibility and a robust technical understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
