About the Role

As one of our IT Security Experts (f/m/d), you will become a true professional in thinking outside the box. To better protect our IT and OT systems, you will explore all possible ways to deceive, bypass, and weaken them efficiently. You will ask questions that have no answers yet and look for gaps where hardly anyone suspects them. We support your continuous education and exchange with colleagues from around the world. One thing is certain: your ideas will not disappear into a drawer but will almost always be implemented in operational practice – and that worldwide.

How You’ll Make an Impact

1. Working within central IT and OT security department in the field of control technology for critical energy transmission systems
2. Contribution of sound knowledge of IT and OT security and the protection of critical infrastructure in a future market
3. Development of advanced IT and OT security protection concepts in innovative development projects
4. Conduction of threat and risk analyses and definition of appropriate countermeasures
5. Following the technical developments and technological trends and continuously growing individual know-how in IT and OT security

What You Bring

1. Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in the field of IT Security, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a focus on IT Security or a comparable qualification
2. Long term professional experience in the field of IT or OT security
3. Security certifications are desirable, CISSP, GIAC GCIP, GIAC GICSP, GIAC GPEN, GIAC GCFA
4. Ideally, knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the field of cybersecurity (IEC 62443, CRA, NERC CIP, BDEW Whitepaper, ISO27001)
5. Knowledge in the areas of Network security (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, TLS/SSL), Security testing (Kali Linux, Nessus, Wireshark), System hardening or digital certificates
6. High level of initiative, communication skills as well as motivation and passion for innovation
7. Proficiency in German and English
