Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking an experienced Incident Response Analyst to help shape how AI detects and responds to real-world security events. You will analyze incidents, evaluate AI-generated responses, and provide structured feedback to improve model training and evaluation.

This is a remote hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week, offering flexible scheduling and the opportunity to influence next‑gen AI security workflows from anywhere.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, alert queues, and investigation tooling.
• Skilled at triaging signals and distinguishing threats from background noise.
• Clear communicator able to document findings and reasoning.
• Self-motivated and reliable in async, independent work.

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic security events, alerts, and incident cases to evaluate AI-generated responses
• Assess impact, root cause, and appropriate remediation steps for simulated and real‑world scenarios
• Review detection rules, alerting pipelines, and investigative playbooks for accuracy and effectiveness
• Verify that AI-generated incident analysis reflects how real security operations teams actually work
• Provide structured, expert feedback that directly shapes AI model training and evaluation

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role
• Comfortable working with SIEM platforms, alert queues, and investigation tooling
• Skilled at triaging signals — separating meaningful threats from background noise
• Clear communicator who can document findings and reasoning in a structured way
• Self‑motivated and reliable working independently in an async environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting, digital forensics, or malware analysis
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK or NIST IR
• Background in cloud security, endpoint detection, or network monitoring
• Prior involvement in AI evaluation, red teaming, or security research
