UPM is investing in an industrial biorefinery at the Chemiestandort Leuna in Sachsen-Anhalt, setting the course for further growth in new business areas. The biorefinery will produce a new generation of sustainable chemical feedstocks from hardwood: Bio-Monoethylene Glycol (bMEG), functional fillers, Bio-Monopropylene Glycol (bMPG), and industrial sugar. www.upmbiochemicals.com
