Your team You will be part of the Digital Security Services Division in the Directorate General Information Systems. The Division, comprising over 40 IT security professionals, provides security governance, assurance, engineering and operational services to protect the European Central Bank (ECB) against cyber threats.

Together with colleagues in the Identity and Access Management team, you will provide security technology services to the ECB by planning and developing new technical security controls and by ensuring the existing controls are working effectively and efficiently. The team’s main responsibilities include identity governance and administration (IGA), IT security administration, certificate services, and privileged access management services.

Your role As an Identity and Access Management Expert you will:

  • work on integrating IT infrastructure and business services with IGA platforms based on Oracle Identity Management and the Thales OneWelcome Identity Platform;
  • support and maintain the IGA services;
  • drive the evolution of the IGA platforms and services;
  • contribute to implementing security improvements as part of a security improvement programme;
  • proactively identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in security services, technologies, processes and documentation;
  • contribute to other security engineering tasks.

Qualifications, experience and skills Essential:

  • a master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems or another relevant field (click here for details on degree equivalences);
  • in addition to the above, a minimum of five years’ experience in the field of information technology security, of which at least four years must have been as an identity and access management expert within a team or as a consultant;
  • experience with general-purpose development languages such as Python or JavaScript;
  • experience in at least three of the following areas:
    • identity and access management solutions,
    • privileged access management solutions,
    • mobile authentication solutions,
    • identity and access management concepts and architectures, e.g. adaptive access control and federation,
    • zero trust concepts and implementations;
  • experience in operating mission-critical IT infrastructure environments;
  • experience in working with external companies and service providers;
  • an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Desired:

  • a good knowledge of data protection;
  • experience with managing public cloud platforms.
