Role Description

Position Mission

In your role as HVAC Fabrication Engineer , you will lead the design, coordination, and digital delivery of HVAC systems up to LOD400.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop fully detailed, fabrication-ready HVAC system models (ductwork, piping, equipment) to LOD400 as per BIM standards.
• Produce all shop drawings, schedules, and data required for off-site fabrication and on-site installation.
• Incorporate precise dimensions, locations, quantities, part numbers, and manufacturer-specific details in all deliverables.
• Ensure models are coordinated with all other trades (MEP, structural, architectural) to eliminate clashes and ensure constructability.
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing to meet project specifications and codes.
• Create and manage P&IDs and system layouts using Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and related platforms.
• Apply technical expertise in material selection, corrosion protection, and system optimization for high-pressure and specialized environments.
• Guarantee compliance with EU and international standards (DIN EN, ISO, ASME, PED 2014 / 68 / EU, ATEX, AD 2000, EU-GMP).
• Prepare and review all fabrication and installation documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support technical reviews, clash detection, and value engineering sessions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, structural, instrumentation) to ensure integrated delivery.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and installation phases.
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Requirements :

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Process, or related engineering field.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial HVAC / piping design, with proven LOD400 BIM delivery.

Deep knowledge of HVAC system design, fabrication, and BIM coordination.

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AVEVA PDMS / E3D, Navisworks, CAESAR II.

Strong understanding of fabrication requirements and shop drawing production.

Fluent German and English (C1+).

Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
