About the Role

Capella Space is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator with an advanced understanding of the People/HR function to bolster our dynamic team. Reporting directly to our Manager, HR Operations, this individual will play a pivotal role in various aspects of the department, influencing team priorities and strategy, and supporting key components of day-to-day operations. Additionally, this role will contribute to the creation and execution of Capella's HR programs and projects, while also providing essential administrative support and serving as a backup to other HR team members as required.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of new and existing HR programs and projects across Capella, in partnership with key stakeholders and peers.
  • Provide broad HR Operations support and address employment-related inquiries from team members.
  • Support process improvement efforts.
  • Support the work of cross-functional project teams.
  • Create workflows and processes for team projects.
  • Contribute to and help drive our projects and initiatives such as annual open enrollment, performance reviews, training and development, benefits, and recognition programs.
  • Assist in development and implementation of HR policies to promote an efficient, compliant, and conflict-free workplace.
  • Influence and support activities that drive employee engagement and talent development.
  • Support employee onboarding, engagement, and exit surveys.
  • Support compliance processes and audits.
  • Manage and respond to employment verification and unemployment claims.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and people managers to provide thought partnership and subject matter expertise on people management best practices, systems and resources.
  • Learn and help administer the benefits and leaves processes utilized by employees.
  • Support the utilization of data through tracking and reporting staffing, retention, attrition, and other necessary metrics to line management.
  • Collaborate on special and cross-functional projects as identified.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Business focused bachelor's degree required
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to work enthusiastically with diverse people and personalities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Skilled at navigating various HRIS, ATS, and Performance Management systems
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office365, particularly in Microsoft Excel (i.e., lookups, conditional nested logic, and/or VBA)
  • Ability to work independently and on a small team, managing multiple high-priority assignments with high-level stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Bias toward action
  • Degree in business or related field with coursework in HR management and/or finance

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, growth-focused organization

  • Degree in business or related field with coursework in HR management and/or finance

  • Data Science or Data Analytics Certification

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $78,357 to $98,500. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity. Benefits listed in this posting may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Capella Space.
