Regional Business Partners

Are you looking for a new opportunity to showcase your project management and analytical skills? Do you have a strategic mindset and the ability to build relationships? Do you enjoy a fast-paced environment working across multiple teams and businesses?

If so, consider joining the local Business Partner team supporting the Frankfurt office. You will provide services to employees at all levels and collaborate with Human Capital Management (HCM) colleagues locally and regionally to deliver HR processes and services for Goldman Sachs Bank Europe (GSBE). The primary location is Frankfurt, with exposure to other GS locations across Continental Europe.

Responsibilities

  1. Support and drive key initiatives and people priorities for the Germany offices, in partnership with London and across Continental Europe.
  2. Partner with HCM functional groups (Diversity & Inclusion, Wellness & Benefits, Employee Relations, Global Mobility, Compensation, Learning, Recruiting) to ensure seamless HCM services and local initiatives.
  3. Engage with business leaders and employees throughout the talent cycle, including onboarding, development programs, talent reviews, promotions, and off-boarding.
  4. Coordinate with Legal to align local practices with internal policies while considering local requirements and records management.
  5. Serve as the first point of contact for GS employees regarding HCM-related queries.
  6. Support day-to-day HCM processes, such as processing resignations and managing internal transfers.
  7. Liaise with HCM, Compliance, and Employment Law to manage audit requests.
  8. Assist in regulatory processes and requests for GSBE.
  9. Participate in HCM transformation projects focused on automation and improved internal services.
  10. Organize events and internal training sessions as ad-hoc projects.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written).
  • 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably including HR specialist or generalist roles within a similar industry.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of German labor law is an advantage.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in handling sensitive matters.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong execution skills and a commitment to excellence.
  • Client service orientation.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Open and sensitive to cultural and global differences, with excellent teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
