Based in Munich, Germany, this role is responsible for the full-cycle labor relations management for the company’s German and European affiliated entities. The incumbent will strictly comply with German labor laws, Betriebsverfassungsgesetz (Works Constitution Act), collective bargaining agreements and local regulatory requirements, covering employment administration, labor dispute resolution, compliance risk control, and works council/trade union collaboration. With professional HR/legal expertise and in-depth local working experience, the role ensures full employment compliance, minimizes labor risks, and maintains stable labor relations to support sustainable European business operations.
Be proficient in German local labor regulations, manage and oversee end-to-end employment procedures including onboarding, contract signing, role/salary adjustment, leave administration, termination, and redundancy. Optimize localized HR policies and documents to ensure full compliance with German labor laws, industry standards and internal corporate regulations.
Establish regular communication with local German Works Council and trade unions, handle daily inquiries, information disclosure and negotiation matters. Participate in collective bargaining and labor negotiation meetings, properly respond to employee demands, coordinate relations between the company, employees and unions, and resolve potential labor conflicts.
Independently handle labor complaints, disputes, arbitration and pre-litigation procedures in Germany, including evidence collection, document drafting and internal mediation. Cooperate with external labor lawyers, labor courts and regulatory authorities to follow up case processing, minimize corporate economic losses and reputational risks.
Keep updated with the latest updates of German labor laws and policies, conduct regular employment risk inspections, identify potential risks, and deliver risk assessment reports and rectification plans. Optimize localized labor relations policies and legal documents including employment contracts, confidentiality and non-compete agreements.
Maintain good employee relations, respond to employee inquiries on labor regulations and employment rights, and handle daily employee demands. Support labor relations arrangements for organizational restructuring, workforce optimization, M&A and site operation adjustments in European regions to ensure smooth project implementation.
Regularly summarize labor relation data, dispute cases and compliance rectification progress in Germany, prepare bilingual reports for headquarters and European management, and provide optimization suggestions for compliance management.
