Job Description:

The Human Resources Manager/Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for managing all aspects of the employee life cycle for the local operation. The role holder will constantly explore how the employee experience can be enhanced, whilst providing an HR service to the local team that is fit for purpose and aligned to SCOR’s strategy.

Ensures implementation of HR programs and initiatives and drives HR projects.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Manage SCOR’s HR processes, whilst providing guidance to the HR customers and ensuring compliance with the various processes – these include on/off boarding, compensation topics, talent management activities, job grading, performance management and L&D as well as local (legal) requirements.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day cooperation with the local employee representatives – e.g., collective agreements. Participation in CECC Meetings.
  • Coordinate local Diversity & Inclusion/Health & Wellbeing strategy/activities. Ensure regular communication to employees and the Boards about D&I actions – in cooperation with the Head of HR Z/C.
  • Implement retention and attraction strategies, e.g., wellbeing events, in cooperation with the HR Community.
  • Manage intern and graduate trainee programs, including maintaining relationships with universities and ensuring a positive experience for trainees and the business.
  • Maintain internal relationships within the HR community and external industry peers, representing SCOR at forums and staying updated on market trends.
  • Manage relationships with benefit providers like AON, ADP, and Relocation Service.
  • Oversee HR Fit & Proper deliverables and annual background checks.
  • Coordinate legally required processes and cooperate with General Services and Works Council regarding office assessments.
  • Update local HR intranet regarding legal and compliance changes.
  • Handle employee relation issues with sensitivity, including mediation and mentoring.

Required experience & competencies

  • 10+ years of experience in HR
  • Profound knowledge of German employment law, tax, social security, rules & regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Solution and results-driven with a passion for high-quality delivery
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff
  • Strong communication and advanced people management skills

Required Education

  • Master of Business Administration, ideally focused on HRM or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
