Our Global People Function is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join them.
We have a team of dedicated and talented professionals responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from attracting new joiners, onboarding, development, to ensuring a balanced and healthy work environment. As we continue to grow organically, we need to ensure our people offerings are aligned with the future size and shape of the business, using appropriate tools. Supporting evolving business needs and managing change effectively is a core part of this role.
What you will be doing
- Act as the HRBP for Europe (excluding Bulgaria and the UK), overseeing the full spectrum of the people agenda and providing critical HR support to our Europe-based colleagues. Our European locations include Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, and Switzerland.
- Operate across various HR activities such as Performance Management, Wellness, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Onboarding, Promotions, Salary Reviews, and People MI.
- Develop and own local People Plans for your client groups, ensuring progress and engaging with other parts of the People function, including People Operations, Reward, Recruitment, Employee Experience, and Learning & Development.
- Build trusted relationships and provide both hands-on and strategic support to the Europe Partner Lead(s) in delivering the people agenda aligned with business plans.
- Support, advise, coach, and upskill managers with varying levels of experience.
- Deliver training programs across Europe to educate and upskill employees on Baringa's best practices and ways of working.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders, confidently challenge, and influence decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across European locations and the broader UK-based People team, adapting approaches to meet jurisdictional requirements.
This role reports directly to the Head of International HR and interfaces with Partners and senior leaders across Europe. You will embody our values and serve as a role model for our culture and behaviors.
Your skills and experience
- Experience in HR, ideally in a HRBP or HR Generalist role.
- Experience working with European professional services firms and/or Partnerships is advantageous.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, local labor laws, investigations, performance, and sick leave management, with the ability to handle cases independently and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Ability to stay updated on labor law changes, proactively adapt practices, and upskill colleagues and clients accordingly.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of developing good HR practices and influencing effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, with a positive attitude and willingness to 'get stuck in'.
- Good judgment and risk awareness, balancing stakeholder needs with long-term organizational interests.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR peers and broader teams, including managing ambiguity and unfamiliar HR areas.
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
