With a proven product and a fast-growing customer base in both Germany & Belgium, we are now looking for a HR specialist to help support the growth of our incredible team.


About the role


As a HR back-office specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes at Accountable. From onboarding and payroll support to recruitment logistics, you’ll provide the essential structure that allows our team to grow and thrive.


Tasks

Key Responsibilities


Onboarding of new team members



  • Coordinate administrative aspects of onboarding (contracts, equipment, tools access).

  • Ensure a smooth experience for new joiners from pre-boarding to their first weeks.

  • Maintain and improve documentation for onboarding processes.


Support to Payroll



  • Gather and process payroll-relevant data (sick leave, holidays, changes in contracts).

  • Liaise with our external payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.

  • Help maintain compliance with local labor regulations in Belgium and Germany.


Support to recruitment



  • Maintain our applicant tracking system and support hiring managers with job postings.

  • When relevant, help schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communication.

  • Assist with the preparation of employment offers and contracts.

  • Hiring decisions are made by team leads

  • We use external partners for payroll in Belgium and Germany

  • People managers are closely involved in onboarding and performance follow-up

Who you are



  • Problem solver

    You love optimizing processes, spotting inefficiencies, and proposing pragmatic solutions.

  • Team player

    You take ownership, work independently, and thrive in cross-functional teams.

  • Technical skills

    You’re comfortable using HR software, spreadsheets, and digital tools (e.g. Notion, Deel, BambooHR, Personio, etc.)

  • Bonus: payroll management experience

    Experience in working with external payroll providers or handling payroll data in Germany and/or Belgium is a strong plus.

  • Based in Berlin or Brussels

  • Fluent in English

  • A university degree is preferred; however, candidates with equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

  • Min. 3 years of experience in a professional context.
